Playing dirty? Binned!

Since February the URL www.save-the-ring.org does everything, but point to SAVE THE RING. Instead it directs you to the Nürburgring Homepage, which has since May 2010 been taken by private NAG.

Looking at it today however, it all makes perfect sense:

STR URL, but what you see is their new campaign (more about it here and here).

Rhein-Zeitung even asked NAG on Friday, if LOVE THE RING is a counterstrike against SAVE THE RING.

NAG's Stefanie Hohn:

"No, not at all. This is a normal PR campaign."

It might be normal for them, but I was pretty surprised today to find this letter from Nürburgring's Love department when I got home. I certainly didn't ask for it nor did I give them my address:

They say:

"Dear Michael Frison, we are glad that you like our Love-The-Ring campaign. As token of our appreciation we send you today:

YOUR LOVE THE RING STICKER!

Why do you love the Ring? Blah love blub love blah love blub love .…" .. you get the picture.

It didn't take me long though to find a nice place for this unwanted present. I hope it lasts a while, will be my special pleasure to take out the rubbish in the future! :)
